2025 MugenCC Event Guidelines & Rules

These rules are designed to ensure fair competition, respect among players, and a smooth tournament experience for everyone.

General Conduct

  • Treat all players, staff, and spectators with respect.
  • Harassment, hate speech, slurs, or targeted bullying will not be tolerated.
  • Maintain professionalism — no excessive trash talk, spamming, or disruptive behavior.
  • Respect tournament staff decisions; disputes should be handled calmly through proper channels.
  • Good sportsmanship is expected at all times, including after wins or losses.
  • Gameplay Rules

  • All matches must be played using the official tournament settings provided by MugenCC.
  • Cheating of any kind (exploits, scripts, macros, hacks, or third-party tools) is strictly prohibited.
  • Intentional use of bugs, glitches, or unintended mechanics to gain advantage is not allowed.
  • Players must compete to the best of their ability — intentionally throwing, stalling, or match-fixing will result in disqualification.
  • Rematches will only be granted at the discretion of event staff in cases of proven technical issues or rule violations.
  • Players must remain in communication (via tournament platform or Discord) for updates, rulings, and scheduling.
  • Disciplinary Actions

    • Warnings: Minor or first-time infractions may result in verbal or written warnings.
    • Match Penalties: Rule violations may lead to game losses, score deductions, or forfeits.
    • Suspensions: Repeated offenses or serious misconduct can result in temporary suspension from events.
    • Disqualification: Severe violations (cheating, harassment, match-fixing) will result in immediate removal from the tournament.
    • Permanent Ban: Players who engage in extreme or repeated misconduct may be permanently banned from all future MugenCC events.
    • All disciplinary actions are determined and enforced by MugenCC staff, whose decisions are final.
